About Ryan Rogers
Since 2004, Ryan Rogers has been writing for the media, especially in newsprint and for magazines, and has added to his survey of services writing manuals, webpages, press releases, PowerPoint presentations and photography.
You might know me from the CAPS Community Newspaper, where I wrote and reported almost all the content in our monthly publication from 2014 – 2018. It was a real pleasure to have been a part of the community, writing and reporting on everything from Scugog, the City of Kawartha Lakes and Brock Township.
Before that I worked for several years at Axiom News in Peterborough, writing for NGOs in the real-estate portfolio management, mining and urban-planning sectors, as well with community inclusion, long-term care and health-care sector clients.
And before that, I was a University of Windsor graduate, churning out the weekly college paper, The Lance serving as editor in chief, as well as sports editor, news editor and yes … delivery boy when that position couldn’t be filled.
While earning an Honours English, Language and Literature degree, as well as a Communications studies degree, I pursued my passion for getting published, writing for groups like Michigan In Play, Up Front Magazine, the Windsor Spitfires Game Books, In Business Magazine, The Lance, The Windsor Star, Canada’s History Magazine, the Wayback Times, The Magazine of Sigma Chi, and even a photo credit in the Globe and Mail!
I didn’t stop there, also earning a Technical Writing Certificate from Humber College, 2015 and a diploma in social media marketing and online reputation management from the Shaw Academy.
Other than that, I can be found enjoying adventure movies, playing softball, enthusing over dinosaurs, and harrumphing about the Toronto Maple Leafs.
